Family Journey In Faith (FJIF) Events

Take-Home Events will occur on one of the Sunday mornings during the month indicated. Each age or grade indicated occurs during a separate service time.

All Take-It-Home events are on Sunday’s at 10:45 AM in the Gym (map). Upcoming scheduled events are:

Mark Holmen, formerly of Ventura (CA) Missionary Church, and Jeff Hoyle from Focus on the Family will be presenting a Parenting Workshop for any and ALL ages who desire to continue, start or ramp up their discipleship of their kids @ home. Come and be encouraged and inspired to leave a Legacy of Faith to your kids.

Visionary Parenting Conference

As the Family Journey in Faith ministry has developed, we have received numerous comments about families desiring more information on how to continue discipling their children in the home. ABF’s such as “Parenting the Early Years” and “Family Life” have been able to encourage couples in relationships as husband/wife AND father/mother. My desire is to put on a potential “mountain top” experience for parents as we continue to encourage, inspire and equip parents.

Speaker: Dr. Rob Rienow is an up and coming family ministry speaker and is being sought after by groups such as the International Network of Children’s Ministry, Willowcreek Church, D6 Conference, and National Center for Biblical Parenting for speaking and teaching engagements. He is the Family Pastor at Wheaton Bible Church in Wheaton, IL – a large church with a dynamic next generation ministry to children, youth and families.

Rob married Amy in 1994 and they have been blessed with 6 children. His most important ministry is loving his wife and leading his children to know God and love Him. Rob's mom came to Christ shortly after he was born so he was blessed to be introduced to Jesus at an early age. His parents divorced when he was in high school and God used that painful time in his life to give him a heart for young people and families going through dark times. He attended Wheaton College, then completed an M.A. in theology at Wheaton College Graduate School, an M. Div from Trinity International Divinity School, and a Doctor of Ministry in Christian Leadership from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. He served as a Youth Pastor at Wheaton Bible Church from 1993-2004, and now serves there in the role of Family Pastor. He is the author of the book "God's Grand Vision for the Home" (Awana) and "Visionary Parenting" (Randall House).
